| Eurhythmics Foundation Course |
For ages 2-6
The Eurhythmics Approach (using the body as the interpreter of musical rhythm) will instill in your child strong rhythmic skills which will enhance his/her abilities in learning any musical instrument.
According to Emile Jacques-Dalcroze, a great Swiss music educator, the study of musical rhythm (in terms of movement) must precede all instrumental studies.
Our Progressive curriculum presents music elements (e.g. rhythm, pitch, phrasing, form, expression) applicable to the study of all arts, ranging from theatre and dance to instrumental studies.
Students will also be given periodic samplers of various instruments (e.g. piano, violin, guitar, ballet, singing) before they make a commitment to specialize.
Too often, children give up music after some time, when they find that they do not like the instrument they are playing. Hence this course takes a broader perspective by providing the children with the opportunity to sample different instruments.

The Eurhythmics Foundation Course enhances development in the following areas:
· deep understanding, enjoyment and performance of music
· concentration
· memory
· coordination
· self-control
· sensitivity
Eurthythmics-trained students typically progress faster than peers who start right away on an instrument.
Eurhythmics will continue to aid their learning as they move on to specialised fields of instrumental studies.
The ability of being able to provide a clear outward expression of inner knowledge and feeling not only enhances a child's performance, but also his/ her life, as a creative and effective form of communication.
